Gumtree Scam

I placed an ad on Gumtree to sell a play station 4 of mine that was not really being used. I placed the add and a while later a man going by the name of Willian contacted me.
He told me that he was interested and that he will transfer the money over to me and then send a driver to pick up the console. I received a proof of payment via SMS and it all seemed legit and I met the driver to give him the console.
A while later the man who “bought” the console then phoned again and told me that his accountant accidentally transferred the fee of the driver over into my account and asked me to transfer money over to him as the payment he made was from Nedbank and that the money will only reflect after 12. Immediately I knew that this guy was taking me a ride.
The driver then phoned me a few minutes later and told me that this Willian man still has not paid him and that he still has the console. I told him that I will pay for all his petrol if he could bring it back to me, and then he instructed me that I should pay him his complete fee of R900, but that I should do so via cash send before he will bring that back to me, he also said that if I do not do so that he will pawn the console for the money that was owed to him. I told the man that if he does do this then he will be the party that is committing the theft.
I offered to pay him R500 in person if he can hand over the console to me, but that was met with a message of “don’t waste my time”.
Needless to say that I did not hear from either of them again.

I have messages that will prove this story and I also still have a copy of the receipt for the console when I bought it a year back.
The numbers they contacted me on was as follows:
Willian – 078 783 9022
Driver – 065 927 9039
The driver also arrived in a maroon Nissan Almera. Unfortunately I did not get his number plate.
