Durban street prostitutes are becoming really desperate for money.
A friend of mine had a really bad experience and we thought it would be a good idea to warn the public. He had been driving home and stopped at a red light in the Seaview area. As he pulled off on the green a woman ran on the road in front of his car and kind of hit his car. He panicked and stopped the car and got out to see if the woman was okay as it seemed as though she's hurt and in trouble and she was in front of the car. She said that she's hurt if he could please give her a lift down the road. He agreed (as he was under the impression that he had knocked her), as he was driving she tried to ask him for money. He refused to giver her any money. She then proceeded to get "frisky" with him, touching him and telling him she would do anything he wants. Then it dawned on him that this was a street walker trying to make a quick buck and she was not hurt at all.
He immediately stopped the vehicle and asked her to f!@# off from the car, she started to make a scene that he knocked her but he was persistent and she eventually got out of the car.
Please be aware of these street walkers as they are trying new methods of making money even if it means messing up an innocent person's integrity. I believe there are other reports of similar scenarios taking place in and around Durban.
Drive with your doors locked at all times and avoid giving people lifts due to high crime. If a similar scenario occurs rather call the police.
Safe travels :)
