Concert Ticket Scam via eWallet

I was scammed by Elijah Valentine through the Michael McIntyre Facebook event page. He was selling Michael McIntyre tickets in Cape Town and I’ve just seen that he’s been reported on ‘Report a Crime’ before.

I WhatsApped him on 074 438 1450 about the tickets and after chatting to him, I eventually paid for 1 of 2 tickets via eWallet to 074 791 8748.

He sent WhatsApp voice notes and requested me on Facebook - all to add authenticity I suppose - I checked it and his Facebook profile was legit (username /kirry69).

After a while I questioned where my tickets were and was told his fiancé wanted the balance before he would send me the tickets. I refused and he emailed me a fake ticket - email address krisk6786@gmail.com.
He has since then disappeared off Facebook and WhatsApp.

I’ve notified FNB and Facebook but hopefully this will bring awareness to the next hopeful.
