I have also paid the application fee. I wanted to know if anyone knows if there are any distributors that are up and running currently? Myself and my business partner are concerned that this could be a scam of sorts.

And TTP05, could we have a chat, I would like to know what your experience has been so far and we can compare notes

Good morning good people, guys i saw this better fuel advert online and i thought i should try but then because of the R5000 application fees and the R20000 registration fees i said to myself let call their office and find more information about this,i called three of their lines several times no answers other line were busy, and then ok let me go drive to their office and check it out, when i got to their i was even allow to enter, the hungry security guy told me no body is allow to enter in that building and i ask why,he told me i must pay the R5000 first before i can set up an appointment or table any of my queries, guy's my point is it doesn't make any sense, this is too gud to be truth,is all plan to extort money from people and i wonder why the company is allow to be open until now, police should go there and arrest the mastermind of this tricks, and there is nothing going on in that building, they just put security guy there,it looks fishy to me,please watch out for this

Also begs the question which I now see they have taken off their website as to what happened to the tyres as they are only talking plastic now. Because of the rEDISA deal going belly up did they rely on that & how much? Also I would check with PETCO SA to see their take on where they will get their feedstock from for the plants & is it competitive enough to compete with plastic recycling in SA

  • Royster 2 Aug 2017, 10:36 AM

Just to clarify. Biofuels production in SA comes with a 25000 L per month Cap (SARS), otherwise you have to become a Licensed producer & pay RAF & Fuel Levy which knocks the model out the water. If they are planning on making the fuel out of Plastic & Tyres then the Carbon emissions is more than Fossil Fuels. Best question to ask is where are they getting their feedstock from. If you want o see real Biofuels companies that have been around for 10 years then check out www.biogreen.co.za they have partners like Business Partners as well as Impact Amplifier. Real mitigation of climate change.

Hi. How true is this? I was thinking of making the payment tomorrow. Is it really too good to be true? Please share any information.

Hi Guys. Please check all your info before you bad mouth a company like Better Fuels. Do yourself a favour and visit thier factory at 5 Berry Road Roodekop in Germiston and seee for yourself. Plant is in assembly phase. Linda Patti Bongi are all on site in their new offices. They answer all my call , emails and concerns. They are aware of these false reports and pists and their laywers are busy tracing the people responsible for spreading these false statements. I've been to the factory on several occasions and all is going according to plan. Be carefull when you mention a person's name and insinuate that the person is a fraud. You can not believe everything you read on the internet or social media. People use any person's name to defraud other people. Go and look at the photos of the right Mr Nthuli from Better Fuels then you'll see it is a different man. I met him personally on several occasions and he is legit. Check with DTI and Dept of Energy as well. Better Fuel is registered at both.

i saw their ad on the internet. they advertise registration at R10 000 for R150 000 or R10 000 for 15 months. i was interested until i called their offices in Germiston but the phone is constantly busy. The is one company that i know that operates from Eikenhof called Bio Chem.

I work in finance and just spoke to a guy who wanted to borrow R25 000 which would be paid to Better Fuels (Pty) Ltd as a "registration fee".
If only he'd done a Google search. Fortunately, I alerted him, thanks to this post.
    Well done!

    Hello Rudi and Participants
On my desk is a presentation document of the said company and an entrepreneur wanting assistant from Government based on this and more that was shared by Rudi. The unfortunate this is that I was in the renewable space before and question the sheer volumes that would be transported and the amount of waste that would need be housed to produce this fuel for the number of distributors. It's pure madness. Bio-fuel are by-products and why sent plastic to them whereas you can convert it in your backyard and supply to the "client"?

Thanks for raising this awareness. If you have spent money - rather stop and cut your loses.

@710018 can you please give us clarity. Some of us we have paid registration fees and we have been getting updates of the new reactor that will be put up next month to produce this diesel. Just enlighten us as how did u come to that conclusion. Thank you.

  • 710018 5 May 2017, 11:11 PM

Guys please do not try to invest in this I was nearly taken for a ride about buying the shares it is a big scam

  • steynf 2 May 2017, 07:45 AM

    Hi
I am also thinking of invest in the company where can I find out more or does any body give me more information.

  • rudi106069 1 May 2017, 09:11 PM

@Musa, I suggest before you sign the contract and make further payment you should request the list of the clients they will assign to you. Call them and ask if this is legit and go to their premises to confirm their businesses.

  • rudi106069 1 May 2017, 09:05 PM

The director of the company, Philani Ntuli, has been associated with defrauding other people previously. If you google him, you will see how he has defrauded other people.

Things that seem fishy to me:
    1. Why is the company requesting money upfront? If it is a reputable company, they would scan their applicants and finalize the numbers of applicants according to regional distributors before requesting money. By the time people realise its a scam, they would've lost their 15k and thats too late.
    2. The company says they will always be 30% cheaper than diesel. However they are promising R2.50 to distributors regardless of price fluctuations of diesel. Now thats an unfair deal because they could be making more money as the price of diesel increases.
    3. The are other small errors in their documents, for me if you are international company your documents must be professional.

If perhaps people are not convinced that this could be a scam, please go ahead and do research for yourselves about the director and the company.

    Hi Rudi

I would like to find out more about this company?

I was thinking myself to invest in this opportunity but found it a bit skeptical that they wanted a R15000 deposit up front with the application form.

Can you please assist me with what you experienced?

    Thank you

    Bernard
